Member of the Board
Paul Wilbur
In 1994, from the viewpoint of the world, Paul Wilbur was considered one of the more successful worship leaders in the country. He had a brand-new Mercedes Benz in his garage (which was horrible to drive in the winter), a nice home loaded with furniture, and everything seemed perfect. That year, when a special guest came to minister at his church, the Lord took Paul on a whirlwind one evening. The Lord began to speak ever so clearly in a very gentle but firm voice, asking, "Isn't the life you have good?" Paul replied, "Yes, yes, it is." "Are you comfortable and happy with how things are?" the Lord continued. Again, Paul replied, "Yes, yes I am." The Lord then responded, "If you would have asked of Me, I would have given you the nations." Paul pondered for a moment and said, "Lord, I would like the nations!" And that was his great moment of visitation — a calling to bring the message of Messiah to the nations! It was not long after that Mike Coleman, the founder and former president of Integrity Music, asked Paul to record Shalom Jerusalem…and the rest is history! From that point, the Lord has allowed Paul to branch off into three directions — speaker, worshiper, and author — and his heart is to serve others through each of these three expressions.
